It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ernestine Anderson Ridgley (New Orleans, Louisiana), who passed away on February 18, 2026, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. Though Ernestine may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Ernestine touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her husband Tommy Ridgley, Sr.; her parents, Ernestine Anderson, and Peter Anderson, Sr.; her children, Vallerie Ann Ridgley and Thomas Ridgley, Jr.; and her siblings, Teresa Victor, Doris McMillan, Uris, Joseph and Peter Anderson, Jr..
She is survived by: her son Emanuel Ridgley (Debbie). She is also survived by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren; extended family members; her church family; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
