She was predeceased by : her parents, David Holmes and Eva Holmes; her husband Marshall Scott, Jr.; her sons, Tyrone, David, Glenn and Dennis Scott; and her siblings, Clarence, Andrew, Matthew, Samuel, Larry, Willie Holmes, Blanche Daley, Daisy Hicks and Queen Esther Holmes.

She is survived by : her son Joseph V. Scott, Sr.; and her sisters, Ellen Holmes and Lucille Mayes. She is also survived by grandchildren, other relatives and friends.

Visitation was held on Saturday, April 13th 2024 at 9:00 AM at the New Birth Missionary Baptist Church (3320 Louisa St, New Orleans, LA 70128). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 13th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, April 13th 2024 at the Providence Memorial Park (8200 Airline Dr, Metairie, LA 70003).
