She was predeceased by : her parents, Jessie Thomas Green and Irma Tamper Green; her children, Jackie Grimes and Irma Blackwell; and her sisters, Marion Green Gray and Julie Mae Green.

She is survived by : her brother Jessie Thomas Green. She is also survived by her 14 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Saturday, April 20th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Carrollton Avenue Church of Christ (4540 S Carrollton Ave, New Orleans, LA 70119). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, April 20th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
