Frank Carollo Obituary

With sadness, we share the passing of Frank Carollo of New Orleans, Louisiana. Frank, born on October 24, 1937, passed away on September 22, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Carollo and Minnie Pipitone Carollo; his siblings, Rosalie C. Schiro (Jimmie), Nina C. Ballero (Nunzi), Bernadine C. Bonnecarrere (Frank), Mary C. Mouton (Charles), Louise C. Hymel (Joseph), Josephine "Fefe" Carollo, Florence Mistretta and Dr. Carlo L. Carollo (Angelina); and his great grandchildren, Camille, John Patrick and Eli Landry.

He is survived by: his wife Patricia Knowles Carollo; his children, Carla Carollo, Maria Carollo Hovan, Frank Mario Carollo, Jr. (Tara) and Louis Frank Carollo (Michael McLaughlin); his grandchildren, Mario Gagliano (Cecilia), Antonio Gagliano (Monica), Anthony Carollo (Gemma), Christina Carollo (John), Gianni Carollo, Katherine Hovan Landry (Cameron), Margaret Hovan and Elizabeth Hovan Mabry (Todd); his great grandchildren, Ava, Adrianna, Luca, Caleb, Sofia, Harper, Marley, Miles, Hayes, Walter, Charles, James Louis, Benjamin and William; and his brother Ben B. Carollo (Lucille). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins.

Visitation was held on Monday, September 28th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Our Lady of Prompt Succor Church (2320 Paris Rd, Chalmette, LA 70043). A funeral service was held on Monday, September 28th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, September 28th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the St. Roch II Cemetery (1725 Music St, New Orleans, LA 70117).
