George Anthony Cortello Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of George Anthony Cortello (New Orleans, Louisiana), who passed away on January 15, 2022 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Anthony Joseph Cortello and Elenora Lucy Miller Cortello; his siblings, Janis Cortello During and Malcolm Joseph "Chick" Cortello; his siblings-in-law, Malcom Frisard, John Robert Cannizzaro (Denise) and Elaine F. Cortello; his nephew-in-law Thomas Housey (Margie); his siblings' children, Karen Cortello and Robert Cannizzaro; and his granddaughter Jordyn Renée St. Germain.

He is survived by: his wife Fay Cannizzaro Cortello; his children, Darryl J. Cortello (Ellen), Courtney C. St. Germain (Earl), Kyle A. Cortello (Kelly), Anthony "Tony" G. Cortello (Loreto) and Dante J. Cortello (Diana); his grandchildren, Aubrie, Giovanna, Blair, Dominic, Nicholas and Madeline; his sisters, Ellen Cortello Frisard and Jackie Cortello Beck (Al Pontiff); his brother-in-law Joseph Cannizzaro (June); and his friend Redemptorist Ram. He is also survived by nieces & nephews.
