He is survived by: his wife Brenda Bissant; his children, Joannettia Price (Patrick), Amanda, John, Jr. (Toya) and Burnell Holmes; his siblings, Lenetta Bissant Goudia (Linda), Alice Bissant Smith and Lawrence Bissant; and his siblings-in-law, Glenda, Nancy, Earline Eleby, Dorothy Beal, Rosalie Brooks, Griffin Eleby, Jr. and Ernest Lee. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
