In the sacred silence of farewell, Gladys is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of her loved ones. And as her memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Gladys' spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Leon Ramsey; her mother Maggie D. Phillips; her daughter Ronda Phillips; her sisters, Barbara Perry, Viola Blue and Ruby Proctor; her grandchildren, Keith Phillips and LaRonda Phillips; and her godson Craig Anderson. She was also cherished by 6 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 at 9:00 AM and on Saturday, October 4th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 9:45 AM at the New Israel Baptist Church (6322 St Claude Ave, New Orleans, LA 70117). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 at 9:45 AM at the same location.
