He was predeceased by: his parents, Amelia Maltese Chiappetta and Anthony Chiappetta of Port Sulphur, Louisiana.; his grandson Michael A. Bordlee; and his siblings, Frances Cosse, Caroline Chauvin, Louise Ballay, Catherine Chauvin, Amelia Tullier (Mamie) and Joseph Chiappetta.
He is survived by: his wife Theresa Darnell "Nell" Chiappetta; his daughters, Dorinda Chiappetta Plaisance (Norris), Shelly Elizabeth Chiappetta and Dawn Marie Chiappetta; his great grandchildren, Evangeline, Kylan, Seraphina, Aria, Lucas and Amelia; his sister Mary Ann Vallot Jurisich; Rachelle Bordlee Nguyen (Brandon), Gabrielle B. Mauro (Blake), Maria "Mia" Bordlee (Eric Bussey), Joshua Trumbaturi and Sarah T. Owens (Kyle).
