It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Hannah R. Batiste (New Orleans, Louisiana), born in Maringouin, Louisiana, who passed away on August 14, 2025, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Leonard Royal, Sr. and Millie Hawkins Royal; her husband Herbert Batiste Sr.; her sons, Herbert Jr. and Lawrence; her siblings, David, Wiley, Leonard, Frank, Monroe, Caroline, Beulah, Leslie and Stella; and her grandchildren, Marcelita, Cyris, Glorious and Artez.
She is survived by: her son Roland; her brother Randolph (Mable); and her daughter-in-law Margaret. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and 13 great-great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
