He was predeceased by: his parents, Morris Sr. Bowie and Mabel Bowie; his brothers, Howard, Clarence and Morris Jr. Bowie; and his grandson Joshua Baptiste.

He is survived by: his children, Gail Baptiste, Willard George, Desiree George, Andree Lizana and Angela Keys; his wife Ethel Bowie; his nephews, Howard Jr. and Sean Bowie; his siblings-in-law, Noel Randal, Myrtle Croson, Bernadette Bowie, Carolyn Bowie and Thomas Harris; and his cousins, George and Wilson Bowie. He is also survived by his children, ten grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren.
