He was predeceased by: his son Harold Jude "Harold Two" Smith; his parents, Herbert John Smith Sr. and Helen Hyde Smith; his former wife Sylvia Morris Smith; and his siblings-in-law, John T. Scott and Gloria Rhodes Smith.
He is survived by: his sister Helen Hyde Smith; his stepdaughter Dawn Mercedes; his daughter Dawn Smith; his siblings, Herbert J. Smith Jr., Stephen Martin Smith and Anna Rita Smith Scott; his aunt Shirley Hyde Hawkins; and his godchildren, Jacinta Hawkins, Karen Brazile Ballard and Collette Smith Pratt. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Due to COVID-19, everyone attending is encouraged to wear masks and adhere to social distancing.
