Helen Sorrells Obituary

We are sad to announce that on September 29, 2023, at the age of 88, Helen Sorrells (New Orleans, Louisiana), born in Nashville, Tennessee passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Helen Turnmyre and Ralph Turnmyre of Nashville, TN.; her brothers, Ronald Turnmyre and Richard Turnmyre; and her granddaughter Jenn Sorrells.

She is survived by: her sister Linda Fuqua (Don); her husband Curtis Sorrells; her children, Curtis Sorrells, Daniel Sorrells (Drew) and Julie Ahearn (Luke); her daughter-in-law Merry Sorrells (Kim); and her grandchildren, Gabriela Sorrells, Carlie Brown (Edward), Jeanie L'Hoste (Rodney), Nikki Riess (Carson), Curtis Sorrells (Ashley), Kay Sorrells (Ryan), Brian Sorrells, Ellen Ahearn (James) and Cooper Ahearn. She is also survived by seven greatgrandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Helen's memory may be made to the First Church of Christ.
