She was predeceased by: her parents, Hilda Recio Haley and Joseph Garrison, Sr.; her stepfather Edward A. Haley; her brother Dennis Garrison; and her parents-in-law, Inez Smith Nolan and William "Henry" Adams, Sr..
She is survived by: her husband William H. Adams, Jr.; her brother Joseph Garrison, Jr.; her siblings-in-law, Gina, Joyce Adams Pratt, Vanessa Green Adams, Glynn Adams, James, Ricky and Carl Ray Adams; and her sibling's children, Michael Edwards, Javani, Janae Garrison and Amiya Edwards. She is also survived by other nieces, nephews, cousins.
