She was predeceased by: her parents, Melvina Roussell and Gustave Shorty Jr.; and her brothers, Dale Shorty (Trinicia) and Roland Shorty. She is survived by: her sisters, Janice Shorty Craft and Augustine Shorty; her nephew Keith Roussell (Joshua Shorty Sr.); her child Darron Shorty; and her sisters, Carol Washington, Judy Hester (Pastor Lionel Hester), Cynthia Ezeb and Michelle Roussell. She is also survived by three grandchildren.
