He was predeceased by: his parents, Rev. James Herrin Harkless and Ludeel Jackson Harkless; his son Micheal Anthony Harkless; and his sisters, Mary Harkless Barrow and Viola Harkless Hendricks.
He is survived by: his children, Michael Anthony Harkless, Aaron Ben, LaKeeta James and Sharon Elaine Harkless; his siblings, Ludeel Catherine Harkless Weatherspoon, Martha Harkless Turner, Clara Harkless Williams, Louis Joshua Harkless, Sr. and Raymond Joshua Harkless; his close friend Joycelyn Scott; his children, Trinese Wilson, Tammy Scott, Karen Scott, Marnita Dixon and Roland Scott; and his granddaughters, London Davis and Mykhael Wilson. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
