He is survived by: his wife Patricia Clark Dickerson; his children, Donna Dickerson Kearse (Hasten), James P. Dickerson, Jr., Deidra Dickerson Colbert (Adrian), Levy E. Dickerson, IV and Dana P. Dickerson; his grandchildren, Elise Kearse Fabregas, Dorien J. Colbert, Ian C. Colbert (Gillie), Rhyan P. Colbert and Bryce H. Despenza; his siblings-in-law, Lucinda Ferdinand, Geraldine Dickerson and Roy Clark, Jr.; his niece Julia Jones; his nephew Allyson Dickerson; and also Skylar Fabregas. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, April 21st 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM and on Tuesday, April 22nd 2025 from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM. A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, April 22nd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:15 AM at the Second Baptist Church (2836 Sullen Pl, New Orleans, LA 70131).
