We announce the death of James Poché (New Orleans, Louisiana), who passed away on August 31, 2026, at the age of 67. James will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Anne and Oscar; and his brother Joe. He is survived by: his wife Jill; his children, James (Lindsey), Dustin (Mandy) and Emily (Jeremy); his grandchildren, Mia, Madison, Bryce, Hudson, Jude, Camille, Joseph, Alyssa and Gionna; his sister Sandy (George); his nephews, Kenny, Jason, Danny, Chris and Ryan; and his pet Ziggy.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 10th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home (5100 Pontchartrain Blvd, New Orleans, LA 70124). A funeral Mass was held on Thursday, September 10th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location. The inurnment was held on Thursday, September 10th 2026 at the Inurnment Lake Lawn Park (5454 Pontchartrain Blvd, New Orleans, LA 70124).
