He is survived by: his daughters, Ayanaca and Kendra; his stepson Joleco Sr.; his siblings, Prentice Spurlock, Frances Thomas Simmons and JoAnn Thomas; his uncle I. H Spurlock; his close friends, Alvin Ball and Ruby Gillam; his siblings, Reta Mae Bullock and Leroy James Thomas, Sr.; his stepson Antione Sampson; his grandchild Joleco Sampson, Jr.; Hannah Jane Barnes and Rosa Emma Spurlock Felder. He is also survived by his 10 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
