He is survived by: his father John H Matthews; his wife Nada Dunn Matthews; his children, Nicole Matthews, Kimberly Matthews, Jearil Matthews, Jr., Shearil Matthews, Durell Matthews, Isaac Johnson and Brian Williams; his grandchildren, Jordan Foster, Alfie Herman Jr., Ariana DeLavallade, Arin Bland and Saint Phoenix Jones; his siblings, Rev. Frederick Matthews (Lorraine) and Patrice Matthews; and his sisters-in-law, Hilda Jones and Elizabeth Scott. He is also survived by relatives and friends.
Burial will be private. Due to COVID-19, everyone attending is encouraged to wear masks and adhere to social distancing.
