He was predeceased by: his wife Thelma Cummings Davis; his parents, John Davis, Sr. and Gladys Hines Davis; his daughter Rhonda Ann Davis; his siblings, Alvin Davis and Betty Jean Davis; and his sisters-in-law, Patricia Davis and Barbara Davis.
He is survived by: his children, Rodney Dwayne Davis (Taylor), Klydenitta Lazena Davis, Kandenitta Trazena Davis, Jimmimonic Davis Williams (Larry) and Jimmie Davis, Jr.; and his siblings, John Davis, Jr. (Elaine), Eddie Davis, Sr. and Joyce Davis Magee (Donald). He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Gertrude Geddes Willis Funeral Home (2120 Jackson Ave, New Orleans, LA 70113). A memorial service was held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
