He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph V. Richard and Lucy Richard; his wife Janet Marie Richard; and his brother Harry Richard. He is survived by: his children, Ronald Joseph Richard, John Whitney Richard, Jr. (Ellen) and Ivory Paul Richard; his grandchildren, Ronjenae Richard, Ava Richard, Aiden Richard, Ana Richard, Trayqwine Solomon and Ziyelous Solomon; and his great grandchild Ka'liyah Solomon. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 16th 2025 from 8:00 AM to 9:45 AM at the All Saints Catholic Church (1441 Teche St, New Orleans, LA 70114). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, September 16th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
