Joseph Caillouet Obituary

We announce the death of Joseph Caillouet of New Orleans, Louisiana, born in Thibodaux, Louisiana, who passed away on September 23, 2026, at the age of 70. Joseph will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his son Luke Caillouet; his brothers, Timothy and Kenneth Caillouet; and his parents, Lucien "Boonie" Caillouet and Elaine McHughes Caillouet.

He is survived by: his sons, Michael Cochran (Amanda), Nicholas Caillouet (Allison), Timothy Caillouet and Jonathan Caillouet (Megan); his grandchildren, Howson, Emma Grace, David Bradley Caillouet, Montgomery, Marlowe and Leo Cochran; his siblings, Nancy Watts (Jubal), Charles Caillouet (Gretchen), Stephen Caillouet (Angela), Marcia Arceneaux (Gary) and Martin Caillouet (Catherine); and his sister-in-law Sylvia Caillouet. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Joseph Co-Cathedral (721 Canal Blvd, Thibodaux, LA 70301). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
