He is survived by: his siblings' child Kiva Herrera; his siblings, Claudius, Jr. (Lewanda), Percy, Sr. (Sylvia), Michael Sr. (Joyce), Carl, Sr. (Verlesia), Dr. Anthony, Marvin (Donetta), Joyce Miller, Mary Herrera and Maxine Hogan; and his close friends, James Young and Ronald Perkins. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
