With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joseph Lionel Washington of New Orleans, Louisiana, who passed away on April 26, 2022 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester and Rosie of Washington; his daughter Cheryl Lumar; his sister Yolanda Miller; and his child-in-law Richie Skidmore.
He is survived by: his children, Denise Thomas and Trenice (Piggy) of Washington; his siblings, Eldon, Ronald of Washington, Althea Garcia, Diane Anderson, Jennifer Howard, Sheila Achilles, Richard and Lester of Washington; and his sons-in-law, River Lee and Curtis Lumar. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
