She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Cipriano and Johanna LoCicero Cipriano; her brother Natale Cipriano; and her close friend John Latham. She is survived by: her daughter Jan Doskey Aponte (Carlos); her grandchildren, Kira Aponte Riches (Tommy) and Carlos Jose Aponte, Jr.; her great grandchild Cole; and her nephews, Frank Cipriano and Scott Cipriano. She is also survived by cousins, and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 18th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home (5100 Pontchartrain Blvd, New Orleans, LA 70124). A Mass was held on Thursday, September 18th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital at stjude.org or Padre Pio Foundation padrepio.com in Josie's name would be appreciated.
