He was predeceased by: his parents, Cornelius Hecker and Ruth Hecker; and his siblings, Cornelius Alfred Hecker III and Catherine "Kay" Anne Hecker. He is survived by: his spouse Lynn Constantin Hecker; his children, Bradley Keefe Hecker (Lisa), Keflyn Hecker Fransen (Matthew), Kathryn Hecker Mullinax (Timothy) and Michael Drewes Hecker (Katie); and his grandchildren, William, Jackson Fransen, John Michael, Henry, Caroline, Eliza Hecker and Lillian "Mae Mae" Mullinax.

In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes contributions to the Alzheimer's Association.
