He is survived by: his mother Elizabeth Batiste; his siblings, Natisha Batiste (Hank), Thomas Batiste (Jenni), Dammean Batiste (Koakaia) and Bruce Batiste; his aunt Effie James of Mansura; and his siblings' children, Jarmal Coates, Dammean Coates, Thomas Hillard, Darren Hillard and Ashley Hillard.
