He was predeceased by: his parents, Delaney D. Holmes Jr. and Dorothy Peters-Holmes; and his brothers, Richard C. Holmes and Delaney D. Holmes, III. He is survived by: his wife Valritta Porter-Holmes; his children, Nadia Kanable (Florida) and Kevin Porter (Channel); his sisters, Gayle Richards (Glen) of Chicago, IL, Denise Whitehead (Ervin) of Crestview, IL, Donna Holmes of Marietta, GA, JoAnn Holmes and Lisa Holmes of Dolton, IL; his grandchildren, Justin, Jayla and Joshua Kanable (Florida); and also Tremeka Porter. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins.
