With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Kirk Martin Barnes of New Orleans, Louisiana, who passed away on April 3, 2024 at the age of 73. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Barnes, (Celebrant) and Inez Barnes, Sr.; and his siblings, Terry, Darryl Barnes, Wanda Barnes Shaw and Meloney Barnes Gilmore.

He is survived by: his wife Cynthia; his uncle Max Barnes; his brothers, Roy Jr. (Paula) and Dwayne; his brothers-in-law, Bobby Major (Karen), Rudy (Carla), Jack, Mark (Sharon) and Michael Sr. (Lynette); his close friend Paul Pellerin (Virginia); and his goddaughter Lisa Gibson.
