He was predeceased by: his wife Geraldine Jackson; his parents, Ray Jackson and Hester Barnes Jackson; his son Leo Jackson (Selbra); and his siblings, Ray Robert Jackson and Vercia Johnson.
He is survived by: his sons, Kevin and Aaron (Patricia); and his grandchildren, Leon Jr. (Chasidy), Jakisha Hayes (Samuel), Latasha T Jackson, Keandra Bates (Aaron), Terrell (Michelle), Aaron Jr. (Da'Vayon) and Leland W (Kourtney). He is also survived by 16 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 at 8:00 AM at the Beulah Land Baptist Church (2436 St Maurice Ave, New Orleans, LA 70117). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 at 9:00 AM at the same location.
