He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Singleton and Josephine Gardner; his daughter Doris Ann Gettridge (Gwen); and his siblings, David, Howard Singleton, Brenda, Aisha, Mary and Julia Singleton.
He is survived by: his wife Joyce Cooks; his children, Leroy Singleton Jr., Marilyn, Keisha, Della Singleton, Sarrassa (Mark Emilien) and Carmetta (Gregory Harris); and his siblings, Carl, Lionel Singleton, Johnny, Robert Forest, Jessie Gardner, Audrey, Gwen, Denise, Veronica, Kaiser, Janice, Ollie Singleton and Bridget Forest. He is also survived by many grandchildren, nieces, nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Boyd Family Funeral Home (5001 Chef Menteur Hwy, New Orleans, LA 70126). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
