We announce the death of Lillian Lescale (New Orleans, Louisiana), who passed away on June 19, 2026, at the age of 93. Lillian will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Lillian Dupuy Averna and Rosario "Sam" Averna; and her siblings, Roy Averna and Gertrude Dupuy (Aunt Weeze). She is survived by: her husband Melvin Lescale; her children, Leslie Matys (Ed) of Boston, MA, Mark (Albert Palumbo) of New Orleans, Keith (Henrique) of Greenwich, CT and Lauren Holmes (Bruce) of Austin, TX.; her grandchildren, Aaron Matys (Meredith), Abbey Sherman (Kevin), Alec Matys (Bri), Paul Holmes and Kelly Wines (Chris); her sister Elaine Valentine Jones (Wil) of Houston, TX; her sister-in-law Doris Averna of Tallahassee, FL.; and her great grandchildren, Ari, Ace Matys, Wesley Sherman and Louisa Matys.
