Luther Clyde Boyd Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Luther Clyde Boyd of New Orleans, Louisiana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 25, 2025 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Odessa Knox Boyd and J. Richard Boyd; his wife Dorothy P. Boyd; his siblings, James Boyd, Samuel Boyd, Wayne Boyd, Shirley B. Holland and Joan Tanks; his grandson Kelian Boyd Sr.; his son-in-law Melvin Pierre; and his siblings-in-law, Leroy Palmer, Darris Guzman, Jr., John Momon, Odessa Palmer and Debra Guzman.
He is survived by: his children, Eric L. Boyd (Mercedes) and Yolanda D.; his nephews, Derek Givens Jr. and John Seth Momon; and his sister Drema Marks. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the New Home Ministries (1616 R. C. Blake Blvd., New Orleans, LA). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the New Home Family Worship Center (1616 R. C. Blake Blvd., New Orleans, Louisiana 70130).
