She was predeceased by: her parents, Dock Rayford and Inez Lee Rayford; her husband David Lang (Dave); her sons, James Fitzgerald Lang and Larry Rayford; her grandsons, David Lee Melton Jr., Farrell Rayford, Ernest Joseph Melton, Kristopher Juan Parker, Elton Barnes, Larry Taylor and Carlos Taylor; her great grandchild Lynier Rayford; her siblings, Eddie, Julius, Dock Rayford, Arlie Gains and Alberta Lyons; Jimmie Hill.
She is survived by: her sons, Leonard Rayford (Charlotte) of Baton Rouge, Melvin Rayford, Cleveland Rayford, David Rayford, Jessie Rayford (Andrea) of Colorado, Mitchell Rayford and Robert Rayford; her stepson David; her daughters, Albirta Rayford Armstrong (Glenn), Ernestine Rayford, Gail Rayford, Jeanette Rayford Melton (Cedrick), Dorothy Barnes, Magnolia Rayford McLaughlin (Willie), Lula Rayford and Beatrice Rayford; her stepdaughter Patricia Gregory; her siblings, Lula Mae Lewis (Rayford), Beatrice James (Rayford), Jessie Rayford (Roslyn), Jack Rayford and Cleveland Rayford; and her close friend Teresa Rayford. She is also survived by one grandchildren; ninety-six great-grandchildren; forty-four great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Treme Center (900 N Villere St, New Orleans, LA 70116). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
