Maven leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. Maven’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around him. Though he is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support he offered will continue to resonate. All who knew Maven will carry forward his memory in their hearts.
He is survived by: his son Maven Scalzi; his parents, Gregg Scalzi and Brunhilde Nieves Cortes; his siblings, Christopher Scalzi and Lara Scalzi Meek (Steven Meek); and his nephew Cosmo Meek.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the J. Garic Schoen Chapel at Jacob Schoen & Son Funeral Home (3827 Canal St, New Orleans, LA 70119). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 at 12:00 PM and at 2:00 PM.
