He is survived by: his wife Mable Thomas (Echols); his grandchild Mikal; and his siblings, Willie Mae McDowell, Bertha Howard (Lawrence), Don Thomas and Ann Weatherspy. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and close friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, October 21st 2026 at 9:00 AM and on Saturday, October 24th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Greater New St. Luke Baptist Church (2201 Montegut St, New Orleans, LA 70117). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
