It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Miriam Reed (New Orleans, Louisiana), who passed away on June 3, 2023, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter, Sr. Batiste and Alma Trepagnier Batiste; her siblings, Walter Jr., Rodney, Sr., Ferdinand, Henry, Sr., Arthur, Sr., Lionel, Norman, Alma, Elvidge and Felicia; and her brothers-in-law, Stephen, Lawrence Page, Alvin, Lloyd and Clarence Reed.
She is survived by: her children, Walter Reed, Jr., Valerie Reed (Greg) and Darlene Reed Roberts (Greg); and her grandchildren, Jeanette, Angela, Walter Reed, III, Terron Winters (Akishia), Malik Reed, Ashanti Willis (Melanie), Greg, Jr. (Michelle), Monique Smith, Devin and Miles Roberts. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Mrs. Miriam Batiste Reed entered eternal rest on Saturday, June 3, 2023 at the age of 97, after a long battle with Alzheimer's Disease.
