She was predeceased by: her husband Lionel Maxwell; her parents, Ernest Alfred Conway, Sr. and Lillian Mauriah Edmund Conway; and her siblings, Alfred Mickey Conway, Ernest Alfred Conway, Jr., Earl Raymond Conway, Claudette Rita Conway and Emelda Conway.
She is survived by: her brothers, Bill Withers, James Brown Aretha Franklin, B. B. King, Ray Charles and Smokey Robinson; her children, Karen, Kim, Orlinda, Mark, Stacey, Shawn (Melvin Sr.), Nahima and Corey (Janiya); and her sisters, Ella Mae Gillard (Robert), Ernestine Smith (George) and Lillian Conway. She is also survived by great grandchildren, numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and longtime friends.
