It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Ola Mae Ray (New Orleans, Louisiana), who passed away on April 13, 2024, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by : her husband Johnny Coleman Ray, Sr.; her parents, Clarence Jackson and Maggie Jackson; and her sister Annie Chapman. She is survived by : her children, Ruby Condoll, Dorothy Cheatham, Johnny, Jr. (Barbara) and Ricky Ray (Ann); and her siblings, Mattie Cobb, Velmer Taplin, Lillian White, Erma Jones (Abel), Clarence, Frank, Arthur Jackson and Edna Williams. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation was held on Saturday, April 20th 2024 at 9:00 AM at the Second Good Shepherd Missionary Baptist Church (619 Second St, New Orleans, LA 70130). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 20th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, April 20th 2024 at the Mount Olivet Cemetery (4000 Norman Mayer Ave, New Orleans, LA 70122).
