With sadness, we share the passing of Rita G. Kingsley (New Orleans, Louisiana). Rita, born on April 14, 1934, passed away on October 9, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Josephine Donachricha and Vincent Giordano; and her husband George T. Kingsley (George T. Kingsley, Jr.). She is survived by: her daughters, Lillie Kingsley Tracy (Dave), Vanessa Kingsley Dunlap (Jay) and Carol Kingsley Nicosia (Ed); her grandchildren, Michael Kingsley Tracy, Joshua George Tracy, Amanda Grace Tracy, Joshua B. Dunlap, Justin Charles Dunlap and Rita Josephine Schaferkotter; and her great grandchildren, Chloe Tracy, Daevyn Tracy, Kingsley Tracy, Presley Dunlap, Sydney Dunlap, Joshua Dunlap, Jr., Claire Dunlap, Brian George Dunlap, Skye Schaferkotter and Meadow Schaferkotter. She is also survived by her daughters, sons-in-law, and her grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home (5100 Pontchartrain Blvd, New Orleans, LA 70124). A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location. A committal service will be held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location.
