It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rita Mayeaux Gauthier (New Orleans, Louisiana), who passed away on July 4, 2022, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her mother Lula Mayeaux; her daughter Ramona Russo; her children-in-law, Guy Russo and Karron Gauthier; and her brothers, Percy Mayeaux and Richard Mayeaux.
She is survived by: her sons, Bruce Gauthier and Richard Gauthier (Jean); her brother Chester Mayeaux (Mary Lou); and her sister-in-law Marcy Mayeaux. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
