He was predeceased by: his parents, Mathew Joseph Baer and Marcelle Monie Baer. He is survived by: his wife Coleen Plaeger Baer; his aunt Bobbie Redmann; and his siblings, Matthew Baer (Connie), David Baer (Cindy), Cathy Baer Gaudet (late Rooky) and Barbara Baer Chenier (Hank). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 23rd 2026 from 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM at the St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church (4640 Canal St, New Orleans, LA 70119). A funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, September 23rd 2026 at 9:30 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers donations to the school that his grandchildren attend and their friends who know him as Bop is appreciated.
