She was predeceased by: her husband Leon P. Forges; her great grandchild Cordell I. Johnson; her parents, Lawrence Cook and Juanita L. Cook; and her siblings, Lawrence Cook (Geneva) and Avron Cook.
She is survived by: her daughter Carla Johnson; her grandchildren, Hammond H. Johnson III and Carlina J. Davis (Bennie); her great grandchildren, Brian H. Harris, Jr., Courney Hill, Haven Dunn and Benae Davis; and her sister Joyce C. Powell (Willie). She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Viewing will be held on Saturday, May 3rd 2025 from 8:30 AM to 10:00 AM at the Regular Baptist Church (901 5th St, Gretna, LA 70053). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, May 3rd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. FACE MASKS ARE RECOMMENDED.
