She was predeceased by: her husband Kevin Doris; her parents, Roy Adams and Lottie Mae Hunter Adams; and her siblings, Joan Adams, Willie Lee Adams Rankin, Charles H. Adams and Jerome Hawthorne.
She is survived by: her children, Veronica Black Paige, Sharla Black Murray, Tammay Black, Denise Riggins, Yvette Taylor and Rev. Tracy Segura (Tracy); her grandchildren, Kassandra Paige, Michael Paige, Keenon Black, Taylah Segura, Tracy Segura, Jr., Tyre Davemay, Ashakey Stephen and Rodrick McCormick; and her siblings, Merna Wilson, Meredith Michael (Albert), Janice Ruiz (Domingo, Sr.), Edith Bethea (James), Remona Johnson (Michael), Freda Hammonds (Lance), Constance Robinson, Elsie Hawthorne, Royal, Terry Lee, Alton and Ronald. She is also survived by 14 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 6th 2025 from 8:30 AM to 10:00 AM at the Watson Memorial Teaching Ministries (4400 St Charles Ave, New Orleans, LA 70115). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, December 6th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. FACE MASKS ARE RECOMMENDED.
