We bid farewell to Shirley Mae White-Jackson of New Orleans, Louisiana, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on August 22, 2025 at the age of 84. Shirley touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her husband Charlie Jackson; her parents, Henry White and Beatrice E. Brown; her stepfather Perry Brown; her siblings, Carolyn Marshall and Sam White; and her grandchildren, Kisharra and Bobby Higginbotham, Jr..

She is survived by: her children, Kim White Higginbotham, Albion Ford (Sabrina) and Charlie Henri Jackson; her sisters, Leola Bridges (Cleo), Lorraine White, Sandra White, Doris Lundy and Valerie Hampton; her grandchildren, Jonathan Higginbotham, Ashley Ford, Albion W. Ford, Mysta Jackson, Charlie Jackson and Carey Jordan; and her great grandchildren, Amani Atkins, Charlie B. Jackson, Ayra, Tatum and Bobby Higginbotham III. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.

Visitation was held on Friday, August 29th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Mount Zion Baptist Church (2200 Dumaine St, New Orleans, LA 70119). A celebration of life was held on Friday, August 29th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
