We are sad to announce that, on December 26, 2025, at the age of 91, Sophie Charlotte Marie Lang Brancaforte (New Orleans, Louisiana) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Sophie may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.

She is survived by: her husband Benito Brancaforte; her sister Brigitta Seitz; her children, Elio (Irina), Daniela (Kenneth) and Stephanie (Christopher); and her grandchildren, Ariel and Stellan.
