He is survived by: his children, Demorea Hardy Harper (James III) and Tanya Hardy Blanchard (Gary); his grandchildren, Jourdan J. Harper, James Harper IV, Ahmad J. Blanchard and Nia Rose Blanchard; and his siblings, Larry Hardy Sr. (Betty) and Gail Hardy.
A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 at 9:00 AM at the Charbonnet Funeral Home - Treme' (1615 St Philip St, New Orleans, LA 70116).
