He was predeceased by: his parents, Ferdinand R. Mercadel, Sr. and Althea Tyler Mercadel Burke; his siblings, Robert Mercadel and Wanda Santa Marina; and his sisters-in-law, Janice Mercadal and Anne Williams.
He is survived by: his spouse Drusilla Williams Mercadal; his daughters, Nicole McGill (Rahman), Dessedra Maheia (Sheldon), Ariel Mercadal and Kaitlyn Mercadel; his grandchildren, Sarai, Drew, Bryan, Sheldon, Bryce, Nolan, Sienna and Sevyn; his siblings, Ferdinand Mercadal, Jr., Michael Mercadal (Judy), Donald Mercadel (Denise), Linda M. Simmons (David) and Geraldine M. Seymour (Reginald); and his siblings-in-law, Ruby Mercadel, Tyrone Williams (Shelley), Kevin Williams (Charlotte), Edward Williams (Kendon), Cheryl Hill (Shawn) and Cindy Stokes. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, co-workers and friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 4th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the Faith Church (9300 I-10 Service Rd, New Orleans, LA 70127). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 4th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
