It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Walter Holifield of New Orleans, Louisiana, born in Laurel, Mississippi, who passed away on December 22, 2022, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his siblings, Thomas, Marianne and Nancy; and his parents, Elijah "Lige" Holifield and Roxie Holifield.

He is survived by: his wife Barbara; his children, Seth Holifield (Jennifer), Katie Holifield (Alejandro Castro), Danielle Martin (Glen) and Adam Holifield (Tara); and his grandchildren, Austin, Evan, Elijah, Layla and Julia. He is also survived by friends and family.
