He is survived by: his children, Wayne Wharton Jr. (Sylvia), Brendel W. Joseph (Wade), Kirk A. Wharton (Alyson) and Troy D. Wharton (Tamara); his stepchild Michele Williams; his grandchildren, Troy, Jenna Deemer, Taryn, Taylee, Makena, Jordis, Chris, Brandon, Bailey and Dillon Wharton; his great grandchildren, Payton and Truly Deemer; and his sisters, Deborah Montgomery and Francesca Wharton. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family members, friends.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church (7300 Crowder Blvd, New Orleans, LA 70127). A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
